Arcare Portarlington

I would like to share the wonderful experiences I have had at Arcare. My mum entered the Portarlington facility approx 2 months ago. From the time I made first contact with the caring staff at Arcare I felt very confident that it was the right place for my mums care. My mum was going through a really bad stage in her Dementia. Our family were so distressed with mums progression and felt that she would not settle anywhere. To see her so much more relaxed and settled and know she is well cared for is such a relief. She is participating in well planned activities and loving the exercise program. We have stayed for meals and found them of very good quality and a great variety. They have also put a lot of thought into nutrition and making meals enjoyable. Mum loves her room and the level of cleanliness is outstanding.
I can't say enough about the facilities. The cafe is great and so much thought has been put into the seating areas making them feel very homely. Every time we visit mum we have been made to feel very welcome. It's like getting a big hug as soon as you walk in the door. Nothing is too much trouble and someone is always there to help when you need it. I would not hesitate to recommend Arcare to anyone looking for aged care.
