MiCare is proud to be a culturally and linguistically diverse organisation. A large part of our work is assisting people from a non-Australian background and we respect their culture, their history, their language and tastes, and their stories.
We began as DutchCare, providing Dutch heritage-centric care for migrants from Holland, now growing old in Australia. But we have spread beyond that beginning, partnering and growing to embrace the New Hope Foundation, Help At Home and other initiatives.
Our methodology is not a medically based model, giving us a point of difference from other aged care facilities. As well as caring for Elders from a range of ethnic backgrounds we assist new migrants trying to find a foothold in their new country.
