Wongaburra is a community-based aged care residence located in Beaudesert, a rural town just an hour inland from the Gold Coast. The residence provides a secure and home-like environment for residents where they can enjoy a full and active lifestyle.
The residence is non-denominational and not-for-profit and dedicated care staff pride themselves on providing the highest level of care for their residents.
Each resident at Wongaburra is encouraged to maintain their independence and participate in activities both within the residence and as part of the larger community.
Dementia-specific care is available and offers a safe and secure environment for residents. Registered care staff are on duty 24-hours a day.
Fresh and healthy meals are prepared daily in the on-site kitchen, with input from a Food Safety Consultant and Dietician.
For an additional fee, Wongaburra offers Extra Services that includes superior furniture and fittings, fine china silver service cutlery and wider range of meal choices. Family members are invited to join residents for a complimentary meal once a month and special occasions catered for when required.
A comprehensive Leisure and Lifestyle program is offered to all residents and includes regular outings, computer classes, arts and crafts, movie screenings, gardening and cooking clubs, a Men’s Shed and regular BBQ’s.
