Recognised for its premiere architecture and sustainable design, Parkview boasts a beautiful open-plan layout in all 145 rooms and communal areas. The numerous large indoor/outdoor spaces dotted throughout the premises, allow residents to relax and enjoy Queensland’s balmy climate all year round.

Internal courtyards nestled in between the buildings are the perfect place to entertain visiting family and friends with plenty of space for children to play. Residents can also take advantage of The Atrium, a spacious multipurpose room with an expansive balcony that provides a theatre, events room and another option for visiting with family and friends. The Atrium also houses the Parkview chapel, a self contained room that can be used for quiet reflection or opened up for larger gatherings.

Reviewing an aged care provider is a great way to share your thoughts. But please follow the policies listed below when writing a review.
We will remove content that violates any of the policies listed below:
Overall, the standard of care was exemplary. The staff was highly observant and responded quickly when residents' needs changed. The visiting GP communicated well and provided excellent medical intervention. The range of activities was large, and the staff made sure residents were reminded of each day's options and were ready in time to attend. The one exception in the quality of care was that my mother had been diagnosed as having diabetes and her diet had been modified, but the domestic staff continued to give her food items with high sugar content.
Dear Stephen, Thank you for your review of our Parkview aged care community. We welcome all feedback and I'm pleased to hear you were happy with the care your loved one received. In regards to diabetic diets, I'd like to let you know that we have an on-site dietitian who regularly reviews the menu in order to ensure its appropriateness for all residents. Our dietitians don't like to recommend diabetic diets for elderly residents as there are concerns that the imposition of dietary restrictions is not warranted, and that the risk of long-term complications of diabetes is small compared to the risk of nutritional problems such as malnutrition. Our team works to ensure that the regular menu, including snacks and desserts, is appropriate for all residents to consume. However, all residents are offered alternatives such as lower glycaemic index options at meal times and mid-meals should they historically be more accustomed to them in order to provide individualised, resident-directed care. Once again thank you for your valued feedback. Kind regards, Annie Gibney
Residents, staff and families at Wesley Mission Queensland’s Parkview residential aged care community, located in Brisbane’s northern suburbs, celebrated Dementia Action Week last week with a concert of classic songs and instrumental performances.
Last month, residents, families, friends and staff celebrated Wesley Mission Queensland Parkview residential aged care community's 10th Birthday. It was a beautiful occasion where everyone came together to share their memories and experiences and celebrate the friendships made.
In the past, when Jack Wyllie’s daughter would go on a holiday, he would arrange to have friends check on him. “I’m pretty independent,” Jack says. “I just like having the security of someone to call on if I need help.” But in April of this year, Jack’s daughter and friends were all going to be away at the same time, and he needed to find a place where he could feel secure and cared for.
