Wesley Mission Queensland - Kentish Court Aged Care Community

Built in 1977, to cater for the growing demands of aged care in Brisbane’s western suburbs, the Wesley Mission Queensland - Kentish Court Aged Care Community site in Sinnamon Park is a thriving community hub, known for providing high-quality care services. The site comprises five aged care residences, supported accommodation apartments for young people living with a disability, a dementia specific respite centre, a hydrotherapy pool and allied health day therapy centre.

The leafy and quiet surrounds of the community, with safe walkways and gardens mean residents can enjoy walks in the grounds and maintain their independence.

Wesley Mission Queensland - Kentish Court Aged Care Community is home to 101 residents and offers variety of care and support options across four interconnected courts. The men’s only Hunt Lodge and Albert Court are both separate safe environments well equipped to care for people with dementia. With outdoor courtyards and walkways, residents feel a sense of space while remaining in a safe environment.

Each court has its own dining room and communal area, creating a lovely close-knit homely atmosphere for residents.  

An air-conditioned community room, equipped with a pool table and kitchenette and an outdoor gazebo with a BBQ area and mini-golf is the perfect place for residents to spend time and to visit with family and friends. 

With a recently upgraded outdoor garden space, complete with passionfruit vines and fruit trees, residents can enjoy potting their own plants and spending time outdoors, while remaining in a safe environment.

All rooms are single and equipped with air conditioning, cabling for TV, phone and Wi-Fi services and offer ensuites, chest of drawers, a built in wardrobe and dressing table. Full laundry services are also available, along with the ability to cater for specialised diets.

A personal profile ensures all staff can respond to resident’s individual needs, including medical, cultural, religious and dietary. With a team of highly qualified 24-hour nursing staff on-site and regular visits from Wesley Mission Brisbane’s own allied health professionals, staff can quickly respond to individual health needs in a holistic way.

They are committed to providing spontaneous and enjoyable activities and experiences for residents and their families.

Kentish Court has dedicated Leisure and Lifestyle Coordinators who offer residents a myriad of exciting and new activities and events. These include: ipad games, bingo, arts and crafts, entertainment and visits from pets.

Residents can enjoy all the services and benefits of being part of the wider Sinnamon Village community which include: a GP clinic, the hydrotherapy pool, allied heath day therapy centre, expansive grounds, coffee shop, library and hair salon.

The village is opportunely located in easy walking distance to the Sinnamon Village shopping hub, Jindalee Golf Club, Homemaker City Jindalee and DFO. There is a public bus stop within the grounds for convenient access to Brisbane and surrounding areas. 

Wesley Mission Queensland - Kentish Court Aged Care Community has a dedicated team of nursing and hospitality staff, chaplains and many volunteers who make it their goal to brighten the lives of residents every day.
