Stretton Gardens welcomed its first residents in late January 2009, making it one of our newest aged care facilities.

Through our commitment to innovation and continual improvement the relationship with each resident and their sense of choice and comfort is paramount.

Stretton Gardens will provide Ageing in Place for residents to enjoy warm continual personal attention and practical help in a safe and comfortable environment they call home.

What does Assisted Living mean?
To some, entering a residential care facility or nursing home is the last choice they would make and many of our potential residents have been reluctant to do so. Yet, after living in one of our facilities for a period of time so many residents have said “I should have done this years ago”.

Assisted Living was created in an attempt to overcome the initial fear many residents have of being sent away to an old people’s home.

Southern Cross Care (Qld) has a primary focus of ensuring that our residents are treated with respect and dignity through all of our staff valuing and respecting human life.

We would hope that the residents of Stretton Gardens are proud to say where they live, that they are proud to ask their friends or grandchildren to come and visit them in their new home.

Assisted Living recognises that our apartments are homes to our residents, but with the added benefit of peace of mind, and the ability to access assistance, as needed, with all daily living activities.

SINGLE ROOM Premium room with private ensuite. The beautifully appointed, large, modern room offers a fan, air-conditioning, nurse call system, telephone and television connection. There is the option for couples or friends to reside in adjoining rooms. Each room has a bay window, allowing a beautiful extension of the room to sit with friends or guests and enjoy the outlook. Minimum room size 22m2.

my mother has been in stretton gardens now for 12months. The establishment is first class and i could not wish for my mum to be in a better environment. The staff there are fantastic and have a very caring nature. The rooms are beautiful and very spacious, stretton gardens really sets the standard in aged care living. I would like to thank everyone there for the care and love they have shown my mother.
