Regis Kingswood is a state-of-the-art aged care facility. Idyllically located around the corner from the Soldiers Memorial Gardens and strolling distance to Mitcham Shopping Centre, Regis Kingswood is in a quiet residential street six kilometres from Adelaide’s CBD and ten kilometres from the beach.
Exuding old world charm, Regis has restored the building to preserve Kingswood’s heritage listing, originally built as Harling House in 1861. The house was first owned by the Phillipson family who were one of the earliest settlers in the Kingswood area. The restored features include lofty ceilings giving a sense of space, a sweeping staircase with detailed mahogany finishes, expansive lawns and an old world feeling of peace and tranquillity.
Like all Regis aged care facilities, Regis Kingswood delivers innovative aged care including ageing-in-place, dementia care and respite care. We take pride in making aged care something to look forward to with dignity. Everything we do is aimed at living well. As an example, our unique Mosaic system is a discreet way of monitoring care needs whilst focusing on personal interests.
Regis creates a personalised aged care lifestyle program for each resident and encourages the whole family to be involved. Regis Kingswood offers a Family Room for when a loved one is in palliative care. Equipped with a sofa bed, tea & coffee making facilities and a pamper trolley, these private rooms offer space and comfort for families.
At Regis we know good food is central to life and good nutrition underpins good health. We have on site cooks in every aged care facility and home-style meals and baked treats are prepared daily. Along with good nutrition, keeping the body active is also key to a healthy lifestyle, which is why we have an on-site gym.
It takes a special person to work in aged care and we hire the best people we can and work hard to keep them. Our people are our greatest asset and we ensure they get the support they need.
