MercyCare strives to make our facilities feel as close as possible to a regular home.  MercyCare Wembley is housed at the historic Catherine McAuley site in a quiet area walking distance from Lake Monger. MercyCare employees provide a happy, vibrant atmosphere and cultivate a community spirit. The facility is suitable for residents who have dementia.

Just 5km from Perth CBD, MercyCare Wembley is surrounded by the hubs of Leederville, Subiaco and Floreat. Frequent, reliable and air-conditioned public transport provides easy access to all of these areas, filled with cafes, restaurants, specialty stores and medical clinics.

MercyCare Wembley has grown over the years to meet the changing needs of residents and now offers a variety of accommodation options. Having recently undergone extensive refurbishments, our facility embraces aspects of nature in dining and living areas. Earthy colours, timber and stone are used to create calm, restful spaces specifically designed to support residents with dementia who benefit greatly from the rich colours

113 rooms each have built-in wardrobes, over bed tables, specialised electric care beds, reverse cycle air conditioning/heating to ensure year round comfort and a centrally monitored response system. Rooms with private ensuites are equipped with energy efficient, movement sensing lights.

Rooms overlook courtyard gardens or meticulously maintained grounds and are and scents of the surrounding sensory gardens and parklands. Enclosed outdoor areas offer the perfect location for fresh air, gentle exercise, quiet contemplation or friendly conversation.  Each wing has large living spaces for those who prefer to relax indoors. The main atrium is naturally lit by large windows and high ceilings and hosts frequent communal lunches, dinners and birthday parties. Our onsite chef specially designs nutritious, home-style meals are served throughout the day.

In addition to providing a home-away-from-home, MercyCare Wembley offers the following services at no extra cost: occupational therapy, physical and internet access in the central lounge room. Optional extras, which are not included in the accommodation rate for the room, include hairdressing, a tagging service for electrical appliances and a daily or weekly newspaper.
