Welcome to The Terraces, McKenzie Aged Care Group’s purpose-built assisted living residence at Varsity Lakes on the Gold Coast.

With Market Square, the retail and dining hub of Varsity Lakes, and Lake Orr just a short walk away, The Terraces offers the best of both worlds - a tranquil setting with plenty of open space and walking tracks combined with easy access to shopping, restaurants and a vast range of health and community services.

Our spacious residence has several lounge and recreational areas that have an abundance of natural light and soft furnishings, creating a warm and inviting feel. Our coffee shop is a popular place with both residents and visiting family members and is often abuzz with lively chatter. However, if you are after a quiet place to read a book or spend time with a loved one, The Terraces caters for this too with small, intimate spaces, beautiful gardens and courtyards.

All residents’ rooms are spacious and well-equipped, with single private rooms, shared rooms and adjoining couples rooms available. We also have some super suites for residents wanting that extra space. Private ensuites, generous built-in robes, provision for phone/TV and space for personal touches from home make for a comfortable, relaxed environment.

At The Terraces, we offer extensive daily lifestyle programs that are thoughtfully designed to cater for the individual needs and interests of our residents. So whether you enjoy exercise, craft, cooking, music, games, church services or outings, we have activities that will stimulate your senses and create interest.

Our in-house food services team prepare fresh, nutritious meals in our restaurant-standard kitchen and can cater for any special dietary needs. With a menu that changes daily and a range of delicious dessert items on offer, mealtimes are something to look forward to at The Terraces. In addition to the three resident dining areas, a private dining room provides the perfect venue for family gatherings or special events.  

With 24 hour nursing support, calls for assistance are acted upon immediately. Our staff are well trained in developing care plans that are tailored to support individual needs.
