Hillside at Figtree, once an elegant executive residence framed by peaceful heritage gardens, has been fully renewed to become the Illawarra’s most exclusive residential aged care facility. This building now to be known as the Heritage has been in operation since October 2009.
Assisted and full time care at Hillside at Figtree is set amongst a serene and hidden landscape overlooking Wollongong. Hillside is aged care at its best which ensures a safe and happy environment for all residents and sets a new standard of excellence in aged care accommodation.
Residential Care Places available
Hillside at Figtree is expanding to accommodate a further 66 residential care places offering both high and low care Extra Service Status residential care.
The new 3 storey building offers a range of accommodation styles including single and couples accommodation – many with open terraces overlooking the heritage gardens towards Wollongong.
Residents and families will enjoy access to a dedicated Hair Salon, Wellness centre and Day Spa, and the Paris Café will offer a range of coffee and light snacks. The new Media Room provides an ideal setting for Movies or Concert performances and the Piano Lounge is a great place to meet with family and friends.

The Hillside team provides not only the very best in dedicated personal attention, housekeeping and dietary requirements , but they add the important relational touches of care to daily life.
The Hillside chef will provide a daily a la carte menu offering a selection of well balanced and nutritious meals, which can be enjoyed in the Heritage Dining Room with friends or in the comfort of your own apartment. From the extensive closed verandahs of the elegantly restored Heritage residence to the majestic panoramic views offered in the new building – you will find a stimulating environment in which to enjoy the company of others or private spaces for quiet reading, contemplation, or that personal conversation with family and friends.
