Bankstown City Aged is the leading charitable aged care provider in the Bankstown region. For nearly 40 years we have provided quality care to our frail and aged residents and clients.

We are made up of 14 member organisations including Registered Clubs, Lions and Rotary Clubs, Bankstown Health Service and Bankstown Council.

Our vision is to create caring environments to support the rights and dignity of the local aged community and those living with dementia.

Our services include Residential Care, Home Based Services and a Dementia Day Centre.

Gillawarna Village is a 150 bed Ageing in Place facility in Georges Hall. Completed in 2005, it boasts a large auditorium, hair salon, garden areas, cafe, beautiful furnishings and quality meals prepared in our own kitchens. All residents have their own room and ensuite.

The complex grew from its original bed 50 bed Nursing Home in 1985 to the many services it offers today. It is made up of the following areas:

Wattle House is a secured 50 bed Dementia Specific Unit. Residents can enjoy the large internal courtyard area or sit down and relax in one of the many sitting areas. Our trained staff are there to care for the very special needs of our residents.

Waratah House offers High Care (or Nursing Home care) to our 50 residents. All the individual rooms are large and are built in clusters, with shared dining room and sitting room areas. There are extensive garden areas for resident to view, or to enjoy sitting outside in.

Our Ron Lockwood Cottages is a grouping of three buildings, totalling 47 rooms (including three couples rooms). The residents enjoy a comprehensive Diversional Therapy program, lovely garden areas and caring, qualified staff.

  • Telephone Numbers and Web Links: To prevent adverts and spam, we do not permit phone numbers or web links.
  • Hate Speech: We do not allow reviews that advocate against people based on their ethnic origin, religion, gender, disability, sexual orientation or age.
  • Aged Care Reviews is not a complaints system. Reviews must be fair and reasonable. Any defamatory statements reflecting a personal experience that has not yet been taken up with the respective provider will not be accepted. If you have a personal complaint to make about an aged care facility we encourage you to contact your provider directly using the details provided on their listing. Alternatively you can submit a complaint via the Government’s Aged Care Complaints Scheme.
