Our aged care communities provide opportunities for everyone to get involved. Whether it be small social gathering in the café, group excursions on the residence bus, guest speakers, hobby groups or just the day-to-day conversations with familiar staff, each day offers a range of options to choose from.

Dedicated Staff Assignment
Our relationship-focused approach to celebrating and supporting old age is not only unique to Arcare, it’s also considered by aged care experts globally to be at the forefront of elder-care.
One of the most important ways of supporting the development of these relationships is our internationally recognised Dedicated Staff Assignment, which we won a 2015 Better Practice Award from the Australian Aged Quality Agency.
Arcare’s Dedicated Staff Assignment involves all staff committing to work regular shifts with exactly the same small group of residents every time they come to work.

My Mum spent 5 years at Arcare Hope Island before passing away recently. She could not have been better cared for by all the staff especially Emily,Suzanna and Ian.Thanks to everyone at Arcare Hope Island.
Arcare Hope Island recently had an exciting visit from alpacas Noodles and Peaches, brought in by Mountview Alpaca Farm. The residents loved the experience and straight away were asking “when can they come visit again!” This was also the first time that most of the residents had ever fed, cuddled, or interacted with an alpaca up close. They also walked around the facility and visited resident’s rooms for those who were not able to enjoy the experience in the courtyard.

To celebrate Aged Care Employee Day, Arcare Aged Care hosted events across their 47 aged care residences in New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria by recognising long service team members and announcing the inaugural Star Awards nominations.
Clients and team members at Arcare Hope Island have been hard at work raising money for the furry bushfire victims at Currumbin Wildlife Hospital. They managed to raise a total amount of $850.
