The Sunshine Coast is Australia’s 10th most populous area and the third largest in Queensland, despite not having a central business district.

The climate is sub-tropical with pleasant summers with an average temperature of 28 degrees and average winter temperatures of about 20 degrees.

Most residents choose to get around the region by car, however there are plenty of public transport options to choose from. Including a train network, bus services, ferry services and a local airport providing direct flights to Sydney and Melbourne.

The largest urban centres include Maroochydore, Caloundra, Nambour and Noosa. The rural areas include Maleny, Montville and Kenilworth.
