Sydney’s Central Coast is located in the north of Sydney. It is the third largest urban region area in the state and has a population of almost 300,000.
The area is known for its beach lifestyle due to being located on the coast.
However it’s not just beaches that are found in the region but national parks as well.
The most well known park is the Bouddi National Park and is one of the most pleasant parks in the greater Sydney area. The park is famous for its secluded beaches, wildflowers, cliffs and rainforests.
The Central Coast is surrounded by the Watagan Mountains, Lake Macquarie and the Hawkesbury River. In many ways it’s an ideal environment for people who like to live in the city but still enjoy a natural environment.
The region has a humid subtropical climate, with humid or hot summers and mild to cool winters. Rainfall is the most frequent during autumn.
Transport and Infrastructure
Due to its urban location, there are plenty of public transport options to get around the region or into central Sydney.
The main public transport options are buses and a railway service.
Major aged care service providers in the region include Stockland, Lend Lease and Living Choice.
