IRT Group's IRT Foundation today celebrated the beginning of a new era as it announced a rebrand and name change to Age Matters.
The Regent is the brand new, purpose-built residential aged care home from Calvary Health Care. Situated in Mount Waverley, the home offers 105 private single rooms for aged care residents. All rooms have access to their own private ensuite and are available in a variety of styles and sizes, ranging from superior rooms with luxury interiors through to spacious platinum suites with private balconies.
A wedding is one of those occasions that stays with you, a memory that lasts forever. For some people the celebration can also be stressful, particularly if they are caring for a loved one. This was the case for Christine, who cares for her mother Diane aged 88, a client of AccessCare. Christine’s daughter, Diane’s granddaughter, was getting married. The family was very excited but also concerned about Diane’s health at the wedding.

Two years ago, Mr Kevin Rawlins almost died. "My wife had passed away in 2016, I was all alone," he says. "Then I had a massive heart attack, and ended up in the hospital for four months."

Arcare Springwood celebrated their 1st birthday with a huge crowd of happy clients, families and team members. The first clients to move in, Malcolm Bray and Maureen Chakalos were invited to cut the cake as everyone burst out in song to sing ‘Happy Birthday’. The residence’s oldest client at 100 years old, Edna Young was also there to celebrate this milestone. There were smiles and laughter as team members passed around birthday cake and clients placed colourful party hats on their heads.
Clients, family members and staff from Uniting aged care and community services across the state, celebrated NSW Seniors Festival at Uniting’s 23rd annual Seniors Ball on Friday 14th February.
