Braemar Promotes Within Its Ranks and Welcomes New CFO Appointment

on Tuesday, July 9, 2019

Kristy Ryan has been promoted to the position of Chief Financial Officer at Braemar Presbyterian Care, after working for the not-for-profit organisation for the past five years, and holding the role of General Manager Finance and Administration since 2017.

Wayne Belcher (OAM), Chief Executive of Braemar, says he is delighted that Ms Ryan has accepted the new challenge, after being supported in her professional development and growth whilst working at Braemar.

“In today’s business world a Chief Financial Officer is no longer someone who simply asks questions about why people may have over or underperformed in their business units, but rather an essential team member who offers strategic advice and thoughtful rationale for business change,” says Mr Belcher.

“As Braemar changes and grows, I know that the understanding and skill set that Kristy has developed in our business sector will bear fruit for Braemar, and her capacity to advise and support our team in their roles as business leaders can’t be underestimated.

“We warmly welcome her to the new role, and offer our congratulations for this career achievement.”

Since 1952, Braemar Presbyterian Care has been offering care and friendship to the elderly in Western Australia. Braemar currently operates three residential care facilities, providing care and support to over 200 people. Braemar Care’s philosophy is one of Relationship Centred Care, which supports the relationships that exist and develop between staff, volunteers, residents and their families.
