It’s been an exciting few weeks for St Patrick's Green retirement village and aged care home in Kogarah, with the opening on their beautiful wellbeing rooms. Village life can be very busy, especially when you’re out in the day, and then come home to a large community of people who enjoy getting together for regular catch-ups. While that is a beloved side of life at St Patrick's Green, sometimes it’s good to take a quiet moment to look after your own wellbeing.
Retirement Village Manager, Sasha Hutcheon said, "We’re so excited that our wellbeing rooms are now open. We wanted to create a haven within our Kogarah village where our residents could go to relax and unwind. Our Reflection Room and Zen Garden are great spaces to sit with your thoughts in a quiet place, and our first resident to have a massage in the St Pat’s Spa has already booked in for another one!"
The St Pat’s Spa has been kitted out to provide the residents of St Patrick’s Green with a soothing massage experience. Complete with calming music and lavender essential oils, residents can truly unwind and forget the troubles of everyday life. For those looking to pamper themselves, facials and other beauty treatments are also on offer.
The Reflection Room is the perfect spot to sit and think about life. It’s a tranquil space away from the bustle of the community areas at St Patrick’s Green. Whether you want to pop in for a quiet moment, or talk to someone about what is on your mind, this is the place to go. Manager of Spiritual and Holistic Care, Pam Little is available to meet with residents to discuss anything that may be troubling them. Pam has a calming energy and is passionate about improving the wellbeing of retirement and aged care residents.
The third wellbeing area to open at St Patrick’s Green is the Zen Garden. Residents can enter into the private Zen Garden from the Village Green, and take a moment to themselves or with friends in the fresh air. A little bit of nature is good for the soul, so residents can meditate in the Zen Garden to the sounds of rustling palms and a water feature.
The wellbeing of residents is a priority for
Greengate. These new community areas will play an important and valuable role for both retirement living and aged care residents at St Patrick’s Green.
