Bolton Clarke’s Fairview community celebrates Christmas

on Friday, December 21, 2018

Bolton Clarke’s Fairview community at Pinjarra Hills has gone to incredible effort to successfully host three separate Christmas parties at the same time for residents, family and friends of the residential aged care site.

The parties were held on Friday evening allowing family members to attend and have a special Christmas dinner with their loved ones.

Residents and families were treated to a smorgasbord of delectable food including ham, chicken, turkey, salmon, prawns, fresh salads, pavlovas, brownies, trifles and much more.

The true heroes of the day were the catering staff who worked exceptionally hard to simultaneously cater the three separate parties in the special care unit, hostel and nursing home.

Catering Manager, Sharon O’Connor played an instrumental role in feeding over 300 people on the day.

“The residents absolutely love events like this, they love showing off their families and we try to make the day special for them. All of the catering staff have worked for days to pull this off and I think they have done a marvellous job,” she said.

The staff were very focused on spreading Christmas cheer around the site, dressing in their best Christmas attire including an illuminated angel costume.

Residential Manager Pam Scherman Carr said her whole team had gone to extraordinary effort to ensure everyone had a wonderful time.

“They have spent countless hours decorating the site to make it feel special and magical – they go to such an effort to dress up, it makes such a difference,” she said.
