Freda Turns 100 With A Party and a Message from The Queen

Freda Priestly, who attends Anglican Care’s Alkira Respite and Day Therapy Centre at Kilpatrick Court, celebrated her 100^th birthday in style on Saturday 13^th October, surrounded by her family and friends.

Freda’s son, and primary carer, Kevin credits her longevity to three things; a sustained healthy lifestyle, never smoking and never drinking alcohol.

“She has always been an extremely hard worker over her life, always doing something and never sitting still,” said Freda’s son Kevin.

“She is still living at home and we are in the same house where mum grew up in Teralba. She loves still being at home but enjoys visiting Alkira each Thursday,” said Kevin.

Family are a big part of Freda’s life; with four children and many grandchildren and great grandchildren a part of her life.
