Butterflies for Dementia Awareness Month at Arcare Sanctuary Manors

on Friday, August 3, 2018

The Arcare Sanctuary Manors craft group have been busy making beautiful creations to donate to their local library.

To mark Dementia Awareness Month in September, Runaway Bay Library put a call out for people to make decorative butterflies to form part of a large display.

The Arcare Sanctuary Manors craft group were more than happy to contribute to the cause and quickly got to work.

Pam, the lovely volunteer, kindly made up butterfly templates for the craft group to bling up.

Once the butterflies were ready to go, the bus was loaded up and the craft group had the pleasure of hand delivering their creations to the library.

Resident, Pam Callahan, said that it was a privilege to donate the creations to the Runaway Bay Library.

While the craft group were proud to lend their creations to the library for Dementia Awareness Month, many are also looking forward to the return of their beautiful butterflies.
