Free Nutrition and Wellbeing Seminar At Bethanie on The Park

on Thursday, May 10, 2018

Ageing is inevitable…but you can exert some control over how well you age by eating a nutrient-packed diet and staying active while ageing.

On Wednesday 16th May, Bethanie on the Park is welcoming people to join them for a free Nutrition and Wellbeing Seminar with guest speaker, Accredited Practicing Dietician, Karin Cook. Seniors will have the opportunity to learn about the importance of good nutrition and how it can improve health and wellbeing.

Karin has more than 20 years’ experience working all over the world including South Africa, the UK, Australia and New Zealand. Karin has worked in the areas of chronic disease management, oncology and gut health in both private practice as well as the clinical and community sectors.

Karin is passionate about making a difference through nutrition education - empowering people in the management of their health to ultimately enhance their quality of life and wellbeing.

As we age the need for specific nutrients may increase or even decrease, this educational morning will teach participants how to modify meals to suit changing needs, and it will explain why protein and calories are essential to a good diet.

Following the seminar there will also be tours of the Bethanie on the Park Serviced Apartments – a brand new category in aged care.
