Guitar Lessons Hit the High Note

on Tuesday, January 30, 2018

Resthaven Murray Bridge resident, Mr Tom Hogan, is taking on the challenge of learning the guitar for the first time at the ripe age of 89, thanks to lessons from his grandson, Sebastian.

Manager, Debbie Lindner, says, "Sebastian has been coming in regularly, and is enjoying teaching his grandpa, and spending time with him."

"Mr Hogan really enjoys learning to play the guitar, along with the special time spent with his grandson."

"Look out, we may have a new Johnny Cash in our midst!"

Resthaven Murray Bridge was Resthaven’s third residential home, opening in 1958 and celebrating its 60th anniversary in 2018.

The site is currently undergoing a $16.5m redevelopment, due for completion later this year.

Resthaven provides high quality residential services to more than 1,100 older people in eleven fully-accredited homes. Resthaven also supports people to live at home. Services are available throughout metropolitan Adelaide, the Adelaide Hills, Murraylands, Fleurieu Peninsula, Riverland and Limestone Coast of South Australia.

A twelfth residential home at Aberfoyle Park is currently under construction, due for completion later this year.
