Bethanie Waters builds new garden with help from Murdoch University

on Monday, September 12, 2016

Bethanie, one of Western Australia’s most well known not-for-profit aged care and retirement living providers recently hosted a group volunteers from Murdoch University to help build a new resident garden at Bethanie Waters, Port Kennedy.

The local community has contributed to this garden area with Bunnings donating a wheelchair accessible garden bed, Bethanie Waters Chapel donating raised garden beds and additional community fundraising funding the soil, plants and other equipment needed allowing the garden to thrive.

"Despite the poor weather, it was a great day for residents, staff and students alike. The group spent the day sharing their tips and tricks in the garden and worked together to achieve a fantastic flowerbed and vegetable patch that will be enjoyed for a long time to come," said Anne Godon, Facility Manager at Bethanie Waters.
