annecto and the Songbirds Choir Celebrate International Women’s Day and Cultural Diversity Week

annecto have introduced themselves to the community of Broadmeadows where they manned an information stall at the Dallas Neighbourhood House Community Family Fun Day earlier this week. 

The Fun Day celebrated International Women’s Day and Cultural Diversity Week, and annecto were asked to be a part of the celebrations, to help educate the community on support options.  Guest speakers included the Hume Mayor, Helen Patsikatheourou, Dr Louise Ward and Abrar Dham.

“We had an information stall set up so members of the community could come and find out about our Commonwealth Home Support Program and about annecto’s other services,” explained Marina Leckie, Senior Support Coordinator from annecto Northern region.

The event gave annecto a unique opportunity to connect with the Dallas Neighbourhood House community, and for the community to learn more about annecto's home care services.

The Songbird Choir also performed at the event. The group of diverse older singers have been charming audiences with their music for eight years and are practiced at uniting a room full of people, from all walks of life, through song.
