$27 Million Redevelopment for Aged Care Home

on Thursday, December 19, 2013

The Whiddon Group Easton Park have announced a $27 million redevelopment project beginning January 6, 2014.

Pre-construction work began in mid-December and the redevelopment will include a new building with 80 private rooms by late 2014 for stage one. Stage two will add another 80 rooms as well as a second onsite cafe, internal courtyards with water features and gardens and a secure outdoor area for clients with dementia.

Easton Park is one of New South Wales’ largest residential aged care services and, with 21 acres of land donated to the not-for-profit organisation by the Symonds family in 1947, The Whiddon Group plans to continue to grow the service as a community hub for older people.

Easton Park offers older people continuity of care by providing community care, independent living, residential care and dementia specific care wings. Each of these services are located onsite at Easton Park in Glenfield and enable Whiddon’s clients to move seamlessly between services as their health and care needs change.

The Whiddon Group Easton Park currently provides employment opportunities to more than 500 people.
