New South Wales Provider Wins ‘Most Outstanding Specialised Business’ Award

New South Wales aged care provider Huntingdon Gardens has won the “most outstanding specialised business” category in the St George Business Awards for 2013.

The Bexley-based provider was judged over two stages and won against 80 nominated businesses. The first stage involved the community voting among the 80 nominees and the top five were then chosen to participate in stage two.

The remaining five finalists were then judged based on service received, the quality of product or industry, value, knowledge of product and industry, cleanliness, access, presentation and overall professional attitude from staff.

Director of Nursing of Huntingdon Gardens Mr Feng Chen said that awards such as this would not have been possible without the hard work and dedication of the staff.

He said he hoped the award would help counteract the negative publicity which surrounded aged care and help increase awareness within the community about the advancement of age care services, and the high quality of care that was being provided to residents.
