New Aged Care Resources Available for Foreign Staff

A range of training videos and reference cards have been translated into a variety of foreign languages, as a training resource for aged care staff from a non-English speaking background by The Aged Care Complaints Scheme (the Scheme).

The videos have been translated into languages that the Scheme identified as the most relevant to the aged care industry, and include Hindi, Italian, Tagalog, Simplified and Traditional Chinese.

 

The resources include a video about handling complaints and a video about the Scheme for aged care clients and their families is also available.

The Scheme has also translated a consumer video into 17 languages to make it easier for aged care clients and their families to understand and access the Scheme.

The languages include are  Arabic, Simplified Chinese, Croatian, Dutch, German, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Macedonian, Maltese, Polish, Russian, Serbian, Spanish, Tagalog, Turkish and Vietnamese
(subtitles).
