MasterChef Finalist Wows Retirement Residents

MasterChef Finalist Michael Demagistris wowed the residents at Rylands of Brighton in Melbourne with a three course professional meal.

Mr Demagistris was a finalist on MasterChef The Professionals and is the current Head Chef at the Sorrento Golf Club. Family and friends of the residents were also invited to join the event taking the total number of guests to 100 people.

 

Rylands of Brighton’s Marketing Coordinator Kellie Heron said that while some of the residents had not watched the MasterChef The Professionals series they were impressed to have a finalist from the program cook for them. The menu included a Thai inspired king prawn salad for the entree and a confit duck leg with wild mushroom risotto and carrot juice for the main meal.

DessertThe main meal was followed by a milk and cookie sorbet for dessert (pictured).

Mr Demagistris placed fourth out of 18 contestants on the hit series MasterChef The Professionals, he has worked with some of the best chefs in the world and has worked as head chef at the Sorrento Golf Club for the past seven years.
