Aged Care Education Western Australia: Diabetes Aged Care Training

on Wednesday, November 20, 2013

Staff in aged care facilities are invited to participate in Diabetes WA’s one-day aged care training workshop which will teach participants services that are available to clients with diabetes.

Diabetes WA regards itself as the ‘peak body and voice of diabetes in Australia’ and aims to minimise the impact of diabetes in Australia.

The one-day workshop cost $150 and light lunch with tea and coffee will be provided throughout the day.

Topics will include discussion about the types of diabetes, signs and symptoms, managing blood glucose levels and a medications and insulin update.

The event will be held on Wednesday, 28 November at DWA Belmont from 9am-5pm.

Booking are required because spaces are limited, you can register for the event by contacting Kelly on (08) 9436 6235 or emailing training@diabeteswa.com.au.

For those who are not in Western Australia or will not be able to make it to the event, Aged Care Online have recently teamed up with Diabetes College to promote their new course ‘Certificate II in Understanding & Management of Diabetes’.
