Helping Hand’s Parafield Gardens site has a real community atmosphere. With close links to the local high school as well as local communities, there is a tradition of intergenerational interaction through many interesting activities. The site has won numerous national awards – all recognising the sense of community generated at this site.
At Helping Hand Aged Care your happiness and well-being is paramount. Residents are encouraged to furnish their bedroom with personal effects and furniture from their previous home to ensure comfort and familiarity with their environment.
The Garden Café and landscaped gardens provide residents with a place they can catch up with family and friends. There is also a trading table located near the café which is stocked with a variety of interesting items.
Helping Hand also encourage independence in maintaining day to day skills, however as increased help is required, staff will tailor services specific to your needs.

There is a real sense of community at Parafield Gardens. They have a fantastic lifestyles program and there is always something new to try. This fully accredited facility offers accommodation for up to 80 people and the majority of rooms
overlook the gardens. Parafield Gardens is known for its beautiful outdoor courtyards, these are great spaces for quiet reflection, reading or catching up with friends and families.
All rooms are comfortably furnished with electric beds, built-in wardrobes, lockable storage, fabric
curtains and carpet. In addition, each room is fitted out with wide doors, a nurse call point and an
individually controlled air conditioning system.
Everyone is encouraged to personalise their rooms with furniture or belongings that are special to
them. If you choose, you can also have a personal computer or bar fridge installed in your room.
Parafield Gardens recently completed an extensive capital works program. The upgrade included a
new café and library area, new landscaped garden areas and courtyards, and refurbishment of resident
rooms.
An Elevate Fee of $6 per day also applies for this vacancy.
