The Assisi Centre Inc. is a not for profit community organisation providing aged care and accommodation services to the aged Italian community since the early 1900’s. The 150 bed aged care facility is located on an iconic site with a 1920’s heritage building and beautifully maintained gardens; all of which create a homely and comfortable space for residents.
The Assisi Centre prides itself on its Italian heritage and undertakes all means possible to ensure that residents maintain their links with the people, places and events that have been significant in their lives. Residents are always the centre of our focus along with a strong emphasis around the areas of faith, community and quality care.
Our diligent and dedicated staff provide a holistic approach to resident care. Our qualified Chefs provide freshly cooked home-style Italian meals. These aspects together with diverse lifestyle programs ensure that residents have access to a happy, healthy and vibrant environment.

ST FRANCIS : Suited for High Care residents. A very large shared room . Shared ensuite adjoining. Standard shared rooms are large approx. 50 sq. i.e. 25, sq. per person. Beds 6-9, 11-26. St Francis refurbishment was completed in April 2016.These rooms feature cabinetry room dividers for added privacy. All rooms have been fitted with the ELSI smart floor technology which detects and monitors movement.

STANDARD SUITE: The majority of rooms of this type offer a standard suite of a single room with separate ensuite. Most of these suites are either completely new as of 2013 or have been completely refurbished with the addition of a separate ensuite. They range from 14-18 sq. m plus ensuite.

THE WINTER SUN SUITE: There are only 6 rooms (3 pair of rooms) available. These single suites were completely refurbished in 2013 and include a shared ensuite. 14-18 sq. m. Rooms have a warm north facing window and view. They are particularly suitable for husband and wife or couples.

St Francis refurbishment was completed in April 2016. All rooms have been fitted with the ELSI smart floor technology which detects and monitors movement.

MOUNTAIN VIEW SUITE: Mountain View Suites are the largest premium single room suites with ensuite, a north and eastern feature aspect. There are only 12 Mountain View suites. Couples can choose to share one of these larger suites rather than occupy 2 separate rooms. The most evident special feature is that these rooms are approx. 60% larger than the standard suite.
