making our clients feel very much at home, because we know,
as our clients do, that there is no place like “home”…. A comfortable and caring home … A safe and secure place … A place of community, a place of memories, a place of celebrations! A place to call “home”! As well making our clients feel at home in residential aged care centres across NSW and the ACT, BCS is also one the largest providers of community aged care, delivering relevant and practical care in the homes of our clients. BCS recognises that many people want to stay in their own homes for as long as possible, and we are committed to developing innovative, tailored care packages to serve our clients’ needs. We currently provide about 1200 packages, including Community Aged Care Packages [CACPs], Extended Aged Care in the Home [EACH], EACH Dementia and Veterans Home Care packages, as well as extensive Home and Community Care [HACC] programs. BCS has a strong commitment to be a sector leader in the use of technology and other innovative practices in enhancing aged care solutions. We are currently trialling new assistive technologies in Sydney and Canberra and have developed a model “Age Friendly Home” in Marsfield, of which design aspects will appear in our future building projects. From humble beginnings BCS has grown into a significant care provider employing 3500 people across 150 facilities and programs. A further 1000 people serve the organisation as volunteers. This year’s operating budget exceeds $160 million. In spite of the organisation’s exciting growth, the founding mission of serving people with excellence in Christian care remains at the heart of BCS.
