RSL Care Milford Grange Holds Biggest and Brightest Morning Tea

on Thursday, June 2, 2016

The residents, staff and volunteers of RSL Care Milford Grange have held a delicious and festive Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea party to raise funds for local cancer research.

The Morning Tea featured a wide selection of cakes, sandwiches and treats made by both staff and residents set up in the beautifully decorated community hall. In addition to enjoying some family favourites and sharing a cup of tea, a raffle with prizes added to the event thanks to the generous donation of family members and local businesses.

Diversional Therapist Sue Raven enjoys organising the event each year.

“With the support of a wonderful extended team of over 20 volunteers and representatives from the Cancer Council, we are able to host Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea each year,” Sue said.

“We invite residents from both the retirement village and residential aged care site along to join in the celebrations.

“Milford Grange has an active and dynamic community who enjoy participating in fundraising activities for worthy causes such as this.”

All the money raised from the event will be donated to the Cancer Council.
