Nominations Open for 2015 Bethanie Medallion

Now in it’s 12th year, the Bethanie Medallion is an honorary citation presented in recognition of an individual or organisation having a history of consistently delivering an exceptional standard of service within the Aged Care sector.

Nominations are now open for this year’s Bethanie Medallion to nominate a colleague, group, organisation or friend who makes a significant contribution to Aged Care.

This includes doctors, nurses, allied health professionals, care workers, volunteer organisations, educators, students and individuals or anyone making a difference in the Aged Care community through their work.

There are six categories – Care Giver, Professional (executive or management), Volunteer Organisation, Individual Volunteer, Education and this year, the Bethanie Medallion has introduced a new Wellbeing award; which recognises the contribution of an individual in aged care going above and beyond normal practices.

This could include someone who has spear headed a new walking group for seniors or an organisation who has introduced a nutritional plan for their clients.

Chris How, CEO of Bethanie, says, “Each year, the Bethanie Medallion recognises people and organisations across the aged care industry who go above and beyond what is expected of them, to help the elderly of Western Australia. This year, I am delighted to introduce the Wellness Medallion which recognises the innovative and exciting work being done by aged care providers and their staff in improving the wellbeing of the elderly."

"The Bethanie Medallion Awards reflect a commitment to genuinely welcoming WA seniors into a warm, friendly and engaging environment; where the focus is well and truly on providing them with excellent service. I encourage everyone who has made a difference to aged care; whether for years, months or weeks; to nominate for the 2015 awards.”
